We are proud to share one of the final deliverables of the IDHEApp project: “Designing and implementing the IDHEApp: A gamified mHealth intervention for promoting healthy lifestyles in young people with intellectual disabilities.”

This document presents the full journey of creating an innovative, user-centred mobile health application that combines gamification and evidence-based strategies to foster physical activity, healthy eating, and better sleep habits among adolescents and young adults with intellectual disabilities.

The report not only details the design process and usability evaluation but also shares key insights from the pilot study conducted in Italy and Croatia. These findings confirm the feasibility and potential of inclusive digital solutions to address health disparities and promote long-term wellbeing.

This deliverable is a significant step towards scalable, accessible interventions that empower individuals with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers. It also sets the stage for future research and policy development in inclusive health technologies.
