Njegova je misija integrirati osobe s invaliditetom u dru\u0161tvo putem sporta i doprinijeti jednakim pravima svih gra\u0111ana i sprije\u010diti socijalnu isklju\u010denost osoba s invaliditetom, podupiru\u0107i inovativne aktivnosti kojima se nastoje kombinirati sektori sporta, zdravstva, obrazovanja i stru\u010dnog osposobljavanja, kroz suradnju s lokalnim vlastima, sportskim klubovima i udrugama. Associazione Italiana Persone Down (AIPD)<\/b> je neprofitna talijanska udruga osoba s Downovim sindromom i njihovih roditelja. Sa sjedi\u0161tem u Rimu i s 55 podru\u017enica diljem Italije, postoji kao sredi\u0161nja referentna to\u010dka za roditelje, stru\u010dnjake i sve one koje zanima Downov sindrom. AIPD je aktivan u poticanju pune dru\u0161tvene i radne uklju\u010denosti osoba s Downovim sindromom na nacionalnoj razini, kao iu promicanju samoosna\u017eivanja osoba s invaliditetom. Misija AIPD-a je promicanje bolje op\u0107e skrbi, poticanje obuke stru\u010dnjaka uklju\u010denih u podr\u0161ku osobama s Downovim sindromom, pru\u017eanje tehni\u010dke pomo\u0107i lokalnim i regionalnim vlastima te stvaranje svijesti u javnosti. It has a mission to integrate people with disabilities into society through sport and to make a contribution to the equal rights of all citizens and prevent social exclusion of people with disabilities, supporting innovative activities that aim to combine the sectors of sport, health, education and professional training, through the cooperation with local authorities, sports clubs and associations. It develops programs for international and regional cooperation, and including as many sport clubs as possible for people with disabilities in the process, of the Paralympic principles through cooperation with similar organizations in Croatia and abroad that allow to contribute to the diffusion and increased swimming as a therapy for the disabled.
